You are not too fond of going through dirty, dusty, grimy, smelly storage auction units; however, you still want to flip merchandise for a profit.
Become a Thrifter.
Yes, it`s a thing.
It`s shopping at second-hand stores and reselling those items on eBay (preferably) for a nice profit.
SpikeTV`s Thrift Hunters follows Jason T. Smith and Bryan Goodman (professional thrifters) as they hunt for items at thrift shops in Nevada and surrounding states.
Imagine a full-time job where you shop several times a week in nice, clean, well-stocked franchised second-hand stores; and then spend the other part of the week listing those items on an auction site.
I know! It`s crazy! But it works so well once you have a "niche" and you know what items will sell.
The the three big thrift stores the Bryan and Jason frequent:
• Savers
• Salvation Army
• Goodwill Industries
Check out the Thrift Hunters in action:
Bryan`s niche is pre-owned T-shirts, ties and other men`s clothing in his eBay store. His eBay ID is MrBigFoot, member since 1998, with 10,700+ transactions at a 100% rating.
Jason`s niche is tiki mugs, t-shirts, Hawaiian Shirts and CDs. His eBay ID is TikiPugMusic, member since 1999, with 16,400+ transaction at a 100% rating.
The series lasted two seasons, just enough time for Jason and Bryan to visit a Goodwill Outlet, a cra-zy adventure, even for these professional thrifters and power auction eBay sellers.
The thrifting and auction selling series can be viewed on Spike TV`s website, as long as your cable provider carries the show.
Not everyone geared for the long lines and long hours of live storage auctions.
However, as a casual shopper, you can find items in thrift stores and flip them for a profit.
You just have to be willing, like anything, to put in the work.
