Oh, don`t you just love the holiday season?
The hustle and bustle and elbowing and shoving and pushing in retail stores.
Driving around in circles at the mall for what seems like for-ev-er before you find a parking space.
The thought of gathering together with relatives you don`t really like or hardly know, just to eat a turkey dinner...
No, wait, that part was Thanksgiving. Wrong holiday.
Moving on.
But seriously, the holiday season is a wonderful time of the year. People are gracious and more kind...
Except at storage auctions.
Sorry, but we don`t go to auctions to make friends. We go to flip a room for a profit.
Am I right?
Only fitting that we take the most famous poem of the holiday season, and put a little
Storage Wars twist to it.
`Twas The Night Before Christmas
by ChuckG.
‘Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the storage auction,
all the buyers were good-nature,
except one buyer was toxin (you know who).
Flurry of words muttered,
by Dan spurred excitement,
while his wife, Pay the Lady Laura,
smiled with delightment.
Buyers nodded, rose a hand,
gave a wink, or touched their nose.
Crowd groaned as Rene shouted,
"Anything Goes!"
Darrell peered in a locker,
in his quest for that "Wow Factor."
He saw a roll of toilet paper,
"Now that`s a $200 bill right there."
Out in the parking lot,
rose such a clatter.
All of the storage buyers,
ran to see what was the matter.
Now Brando! Now Ivy! Now Mary!
Stop Jarrod! Stop Brandi! Stop Casey!
Varoom. Varoom.
An engine did rev.
Could it be,
Was it he?
A captain`s hat.
Pearly white teeth.
A grin from check-to-cheek.
Surely, it was St. Nick.
Yes, it was our very own Barry Weiss,
In his train-bus-boat Deco Liner.
The bidders bubbled with glee,
the day could not be finer.
"All Aboard!" Barry shouted.
Every star pushed and shoved,
no friends at auctions,
not even aboard this tub.
With a wink and a smile,
Barry steered away his train-bus-boat,
maybe one day he`ll return to bid,
we can only hope.
Everyone left,
including Dan and his wife.
So, we whisper,
Merry Christmas to all,
and to all a good night.
