Time to suit up! Or should I say, put on your role-playing costume and let`s battle! Allen Haff and Ton Jones, stars of
Auctions Hunters, found a few collectibles in their storage auction units. Anvil set for sport, ballistae, Mariyln Monroe statue, bed of nails, slip-n-slide, LARP weaponry, falconry gear, and a sword collection. Not a bad haul.

• Early anvils were first made from stone, then bronze, and later wrought iron.
• The word "ballista" comes from the Greek word "ballistra," meaning "to throw".
• The Meramec River was often used as a route for bootlegging during prohibition.
• Jesse James was rumored to use the caverns along the Meramec River as a hideout.
• Anvils were shot on St. Clements Day to honor Pope Clement I, the patron saint of blacksmiths.

• America currently holds the record for the world`s largest Slip `N Slide at 1,000 feet long.

• LARPing is interactive role-play between costumed players in an agreed fantasy world.
• Falconry is defined as the training of falcons or hawks to hunt in cooperation with a person.
• Falcons have evolved into 37 different species and are found on six continents.
• Telemetry was also used to send data over 10 billion kilometers from the Voyager I space probe.
• A falcon`s exceptional eyesight is 8 times stronger than that of a human.
• In 2005, a peregrine falcon set the speed record while stooping (diving) at 242 mph.
• LARP became popular in the 1970s when games like Dungeons and Dragons were converted to live theater.
• The earliest LARP battle took place at sci-fi conventions, inspired by the film Logan`s Run.
