Top 5 Most Expensive Cars Sold At Auction 2016

January 30, 2017
Car collectors, start your engines.

Three Ferraris, a Jaguar, and an Alfa Romeo made the top 5 most expensive cars sold at auction in 2016.

It was reported byThe Daily Mail that superstar soccer players Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo both bid for the #1 most expensive car. Rumored that Messi beat out his long-time rival Ronaldo; but even the newspaper couldn`t confirm who actually won the car.

Gooding Auction House sold #4 and #5, and RM Sothesby`s Auction house sold #2 and #3. It was however, Artcurial Paris Auction House that won the honors of selling the #1 most expensive car sold at public auction in 2016. In fact, it was the second car in history to sell for more than $30 million!

Let`s look at the collection.

Would you like to see these cars in action? So would I, but alas, car collectors keep their trophies in their high-security garages. The chance of seeing one of these beauties turn the corner like it`s on rails on any street, well, next to none. But at least we have photos to post on social media sites.

Which was your favorite top 5 most expensive car sold at auction in 2016?
